Re: Pi 3, SooperLooper, and UMC-404HD audio interface

Setting up to compile SooperLooper on the Pi is a little bit more arduous than it was under Ubuntu Studio. wxWidgets took almost 2 hours to compile. I'm getting a bunch of errors on packages that probably have nothing to do with the GUI, so I'm going to see if I can just compile the GUI and forget ...

Re: VST3 support in Linux?

It's doubtful any DAW will include support for VST plugins made for a different OS. It can be enough hassle for the devs of a DAW to keep up with compatibility of plugins which are written for that OS, let alone including bridging to plugins meant for a different OS. This is mostly true, but LMMS i...

Re: Pi 3, SooperLooper, and UMC-404HD audio interface

Great that you've got it working! Guess that the Pi3 can pass more power to the Behringer 404 audio interface than the Pi1B+ that I have. Or maybe you have a beter power adapter for the Pi. Do you use the power adapter for the Behringer? Or do you only use the USB connection from Pi to the 404?

Re: VST3 support in Linux?

I don't use Windows VST3 in Linux. So cannot tell how well it works. I can't compile it I get the error: You have to install cmake sudo apt-get install cmake there is typo in readme :) Thanks for the tip. As it turns out, LinVST3 needs the VST3 SDK which I don't have. I think it's great that develo...

Re: Pi 3, SooperLooper, and which audio interface?

Ha ha. What a coincidence. I've got the same audio interface (Behringer 404). Jack would crash every time. Thought that it was my Raspbian installation that was faulty. Nope. A cheap Aliexpress audio interface ( link ) would not crash Jack. My guess, after trying everything, is that it is a power is...

Holy mackerel Batman! LinVST3. It's still in Beta, but have you any experience with it yet?

Code: Select all

$ sudo apt-get cmake

E: Invalid operation cmake

Re: VST3 support in Linux?

Almost forgot that I started this topic. Today I asked myself the same question again. Anyway, until now I do not know of any Linux native DAW or program (like Linux-Carla or LinVST) that supports Windows VST3. Or is there?

Re: Peavey USB-P DAC

Just noticed if I unplug the power supply from the laptop and run on battery all of the noise goes away and I have good clean audio. I Will research further. That speaks volumes, ha ha. Good 'ol interference from a wall outlet (50 Hz; or 60 Hz if you're an American). Anyway, I'm glad you've got it ...
