Re: Soledad #3

Thank you, friends, I appreciate that you took the time to listen to and comment on my music.

Seems you all got it right. It is what it is, nothing Earth-shaking here, just an ambience of a certain sort. :)

Best regards,

The binary from github may or may not work on your system, I haven't checked it here. I build it from source on Fedora 23, it works fine.

Re: Are there affordable microphones that last for decades?

My Shure SM58 has been with me for decades, it's still the best mic for my vocals and it's designed for heavy-duty use. The USB mics I've seen and used have been poor contenders by comparison, but I'll be the first to admit that I've not kept up with the technology. Are you using your mic for singin...

Vember Surge update

Greetings ! Just a note to let you know that the horrible noise bug has been squashed. I've had 100% success with Surge in Bitwig 2.3.5 and VCV Rack via the Host module, Surge performs very well on those hosts now. If you've tried the plugin and suffered from that bug, please update to beta8, give i...

Re: Fair Enough aka The AFAICT Song

I absolutely loved this. Solid pickin' and the way the vocals lift a bit in the last verse brought the ears back around. I heard a little JJ Cale in your voice as well. Thanks for lending your ears, ufug. :) I might have heard Cale's recordings once or twice. I definitely heard him perform at McCab...

Re: Fair Enough aka The AFAICT Song

Greetings ! Vast gratitude to all of you who listened to and commented on my little song. It happens to have particular meaning for me at the moment: We've lost three good friends to severe illness in the last two months, so the matter of staying and going has become an "in my face" thing....

Fair Enough aka The AFAICT Song

Greetings !

What the hell, I've posted it everywhere else, might as well put it here too.

Fair Enough aka The AFAICT Song

Comments welcome, but please bear in mind that I haven't done anything like this for quite a while, I'm a bit rusty.

Re: VeeSeeVSTRack for Linux [official beta binaries available-updated 16 March 2019]

... It's quite clear at least for now as a LinuxVST plugin it is not even close to beta, add to that its chubby 474mb payload and fact that it crashes both default hosts in AV Linux (Ardour/Mixbus demo) I unfortunately will have to leave it out for now on the next AVL release, I had truly hoped to ...

@jonetsu and @Gmaq,

Just a note to say "Thank you!" for the feedback. I've filed an Issue on github detailing the build problems, hopefully the developer will respond soon.

Re: VeeSeeVSTRack for Linux [official beta binaries available-updated 11 March 2019]

I poked the bear for an hour and a half last night, In AV Linux (Debian Stretch) I can choose either GCC 5 or GCC 6, neither succeeded.. My builds were failing at the end because for some reason the '/lib/linux_gcc/x64/' folder doesn't get created even if the 'deps' part of the build succeeds.. Yes...
