Re: Something bit different: Possessed

The mix is indeed quite good, for the music parts. Most of the voices are also well incorporated although there might be a few places where it could be a bit more incorporated and possibly panned a bit. That might be subjective though. An exorcism should fix all that  https://www.youtube.co...

Re: IK UNO 'DoubleUp promo, buy UNO, choose an IK software

But does the editor software for the UNO work well on Linux with Wine? Part of my processing and sound arsenal is made of Sample Tank 3, Amplitube 4 and TRack-S and they all run fine using linvst. So software-wise there should not be a problem if the same software framework was used for the UNO edi...

And why would that be ? Eg. when compared to a distro directly supported by Canonical ?

Cheers.

Re: Open Source, Communities, and the Incoming New EU Copyrights Regulations

This generation (Grateful Dead) was involved in the idea of the "Internet" and Grateful Dead were virtually the first "Open Source" musicians. ;-) Followed by Phish. Attracting crowds without any advertisement, playing for days at festivals, etc... EDIT : I replaced the link wit...

There's also the ToneLib GFX which is a topic in this section. Alex made a demo that sounds pretty good. Still in beta though.

Re: The Spring Dreams

I had to listen to it a couple of times, as it seems to pass by so quickly. The impression being, did I miss something ? It feels like I missed something. Very nice feeling for the melody, chords and harmonies. The trumpet-like take up on the theme is a very nice surprise although going back after i...

Re: HazySun - relaxed, upbeat, piano, guitar, haze

@milo: Those are also my favorite sections. I specifically like how the synth appears as if standing on its own right in the middle of the stereo range to underline to harmonic modulation at 4:04 (more apparent with headphones). @GMaq: First of all I have to say that I like a lot when different part...

HazySun - relaxed, upbeat, piano, guitar, haze

This one is upbeat while being relaxed and rather light. Mostly based around a piano improv. While the guitar is decidedly improvised, its tracking being "as is".

Comments welcomed.

Cheers.

Hinterland 2 - Colony

A sequel to "Hinterland". This time a bit more variations.

Re: Kailash

Yet another nice improvised theme. I might not like the 'sitar' sound so much but that does not prevent from appreciating the harmonies and theme. Maybe you could spend time on developing such themes. It doe snot really have to expand the theme, but perhaps just adding more textures and harmonies be...

Re: The Eden lake

There's some kind of nostalgia from leaving winter ?

It opens up starting at about 1:19 and becomes very nice. The lyricism which is often part of your pieces and improvisations, is quite present and gives the flavour to perhaps a bit too short of a piece.

Cheers.
